In celebration of Liberation 75, Harpers Catering are delighted to be joining up with Jersey Hospice Care and offer a "Virtual Dinner Party" to be delivered over the Liberation bank holiday weekend.

Local charities, including Jersey Hospice Care, are continuing to do an amazing job during these difficult times and should not be forgotten.

Why Jersey Hospice?

Jersey Hospice Care provides specialist palliative care to everyone who needs it, irrespective of diagnosis. During this challenging situation, the team at Hospice are still providing care to all those living with dying: at Clarkson House on the In Patient Unit and in the community, as well as providing bereavement and emotional support to anyone on the Island experiencing the loss of a loved one.

In addition, the Hospice team are supporting colleagues in other healthcare settings by providing specialist education and training in end of life care to help prepare them for the coming weeks and months.

Hospice believe that everyone matters and that every death matters. At the end of life, we only have one chance to get it right and they are there to provide dignity and choice so that each person they care for, and their loved ones, can live life to the full.

Hospice was created by the community and for the community. To this day it continues to be supported by the community whose generosity ensures that they can offer all of their services free of charge to those who need our care. It costs £20,200 a day (£7.4m a year) to run Hospice.

Hospice simply could not do what they do without the support of Islanders and are so very grateful to all their “Hospice Heroes” in the community who continue to support them at this time.

Our Liberation 75 Weekend Dinner Party

Harpers Catering will deliver your menu direct to your door, fully prepared ready for you to cook and serve. This is a perfect opportunity to get together with friends - online - and enjoy dinner together; and at the same time raising money for Jersey Hospice Care.

Deliveries will be made on Thursday, 7th May or Friday, 8th May during the day. It will be ready for you to pop in the oven, for when you are ready to have your party. Orders to be received by Wednesday, 6th May 2020.

Delivery slots for Saturday, 9th May have now been filled. We can deliver Friday, and the menu will be fine for your Saturday, virtual party!

Cocktail of prawns, avocado & smoked salmon and gamba

Jersey Asparagus with watercress mayonnaise

Main Course

Fillet of beef wellington with a rich red jus

Salmon En Croute with cream cheese, spinach and chervil with a white wine & chive sauce.

Roasted Vegetable wellington with ricotta served with a tomato & basil sauce

All main courses served with Jersey Royals and broccoli tender stem

Summer berry pavlova
